NZ vs PAK, T20 World Cup 2022: After getting a miraculous chance to play in the semi-finals, the Men in Green did not let it go in vain. Pakistan has won the crucial match by 7 wickets. New Zealand cricket team, who won the toss and chose to field first, could not give a huge target as they were restriced to 152 by latter's quality bowling. Tomorrow, India will play against England in the second final, the winner of that match will play against Pakistan in the finale. This also means that fans have the chance of witnessing IND vs PAK once again.

However, many thought that it will be a difficult chase, but, Men in Green's openers made that look like an easy task as they chased the target with 5 balls remaining. What even more fascinating is, that Pakistan lost their first wicket at the score of 105 (12.4 overs) of Babar azam. However, the damage was already done.

It looked like as if New Zealand couldn't really find the rhytm in the second innings. However, after Rizwan's wicket in 17th over, situation seemed tough for Pakistan but mohammed Haris went berserk as he scored 10 runs in last two deliveries of 18th over.

Rizwan scored the most-runs for Pakistan

For Pakistan, highest run-scorer was Mohammad Rizwan who scored 57 off 43 balls. Skipper babar Azam too returned to his form as he scored crucial 53 off 42 balls. Mohammad Haris scored 30 off 26 balls.

With ball, no New Zealand players was able to put forward a impactful spell. Trent Boult took two wickets while shellng 33 runs in his four over spell. Ish Sodhi, however, proved to be economical than rest as he gave just 26 runs in four overs. All other bowlers went wicketless.

Only Daryl Mitchell could score a good knock

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, New Zealand team has posted 152 on board after their innings. Thanks to Daryl Mitchell’s 53 off 35 and Kane Williamson’s 46 off 42 balls, blackcaps could manage to get to this score. Finn Allenn and Glenn Philips did not shine today as they were dismissed for just 4 and 6 runs, respectively. Jimmy Neesham played a good cameo in the end by scoring 16 off 12. Devon Conway scored 21 off 20 balls before being runout by Shadab Khan.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi shone with the ball as he took two wickets in his spell of four overs while shelling just 24 runs. Mohammad Nawaz too picked a wicket in two overs while giving 12 runs. All the other bowlers went wicketless in today’s match. Devon Conway was runout by Shadab Khan, which also proved to be a turning point in Kiwi’s innings.
