KL Rahul: Thursday's second practise match in Perth saw India lose to Western Australia by a margin of 36 runs. The hosts amassed 168/8 in 20 overs while batting first, but India could only muster 132/8 in reply.

With the exception of KL Rahul, who managed to score 74 runs in 55 balls, no other hitter was able to hold off the Western Australia onslaught.

Rishabh Pant, who entered the field to start the innings with Rahul was dismissed for a score of 9. Lance Morris packed Deepak Hooda on 6 runs. Axar Patel could only manage 2, while Hardik Pandya finished his innings on 17 runs. Similarly, Dinesh Karthik too was dismissed for a score of 10.

Even though he was on the team, Rohit Sharma opted not to bat. Earlier, Ashwin bowled well to be the Indian team's star bowler for the day. Three wickets were taken by the spinner, all in the same over. While Arshdeep and Bhuvneshwar each claimed one wicket, Harshal Patel claimed two.
