Former Australian all-rounder and Chennai Super Kings star Shane Watson has announced his retirement from all types of cricket. The former Australia all-rounder will no longer play in the next IPL. Watson has said goodbye to franchise cricket.

Shane Watson has played for Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings in IPL. Shane Watson contributed to the IPL title win for Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and Chennai in 2018.

Shane Watson helped Chennai win the third IPL title by scoring a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final match of IPL 2018.

This time, Shane Watson's failed to perform in this year's IPL. Watson scored 299 runs in 11 matches for Chennai this season, including 2 half-centuries.
