Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 23, 2023. As it was his team’s second offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Kohli has been fined Rs. 24 lakh and each member of the Playing XI, including the impact substitute, is fined Rs. 6 lakh or 25 percent of the match fee, whichever is lesser." On Monday evening, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced their decision via a press release that Royal Challengers Bangalore had breached rules during their match against Rajasthan Royals. If a team is unable to finish 19 overs within the allotted time, they will have to add an extra fielder inside the circle for the 20th over. This rule came into play during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, where RCB failed to complete their overs within the time limit for the second time in the tournament.
