IPL 2022 Retention Highlights: MI say no to Pandya brothers; KL Rahul set for new franchise

Mumbai Indians: MI owner announced that the team have retained Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah.

This means we will no longer see Pandya brother in Mumbai Indians squad. They might take them back in the auction but as of now there is no space for the all-rounders in the most successful side of the IPL history.

Mi have spent 42 crores on these four players. The team have 48 more crores in their bag for the auction next year. It was a tough job for them but they made their decision. Ishan Kishan is also not picked by the franchise, going with his skillset he is a top-quality player for any team as he can open the innings and also bat any where.

So, here it is for RCB- The team said no to Yuzvender Chahal and this is the big story. RCB have also not gone with 2021 Purple cap holder Harshal Patel.

RCB have spent 15 crore to retain Virat Kohli, 11 crore to Maxwell and 7 crore to Mohammed Siraj.

Punjab Kings: PBKS stakeholder have retained just two players Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh. This is another big story as Punjab have not retained their skipper KL Rahul. Dropping KL Rahul directly implies that Rahul might have fixed his fate with some other team.

PBKS will go into the auction with 72 crores in the pocket.

Delhi Capitals: Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel
