IPL 2021: de Villiers' versatility unnerves opposition says, Virat Kohli

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has lavished praise to his South African mate AB de Villers and said he is the man who can bat on any wicket due to his versatility.

Ab de Villiers scored 48 runs off 27 balls against Mumbai Indians in the thrilling tournament-opener on Friday.

"The opposition gets nervous about AB," said Kohli, who is also the India skipper, and shares a deep bond with the South Africa batsman.

"We have depth in the batting which we want to utilize. AB is probably the only one on the team who is so versatile. And he does it on slow wickets what not many can do."

de Villers came to bat at Number 5, which was in talks since then, the South African havoc has batted at Number 3 for RCB most of the time and him coming at Number 5 has also provided stability in Bangalore's batting line.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has won the first game and their side looks much stronger this year in comparison with other teams.
