After choosing to bat, India posted 186 runs on board vs Zimbabwe in their last Super 12 game of the ongoing T20 World Cup at Melbourne Cricket Stadium.

Undoubtedly Suryakumar Yadav top-scored for India with his 61-run knock while KL Rahul was dismissed after scoring 50 runs.

Virat Kohli also played a steady and supportive knock of 26 runs after India lost Rohit Sharma early. Skipper Sean Williams was the pick of the bowlers for his side with his figures of 2/9. Earlier, Rohit Sharma brought Rishabh Pant in the lineup place of injured Dinesh Karthik.

India come into the game after registering a win over Bangladesh while Chevrons lost their game vs the same team.

Earlier in the day with Netherlands shocking South Africa, India qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing tournament. While on the other hand, Pakistan have also qualified for the final four.

A win for Zimbabwe today will help them finish in the top-4 of the group, thereby confirming an automatic berth in the next tournament in 2024.
