IND vs SL: It was a day to be remembered for India star batter Virat Kohli who brought up his fourty fifth One Internationals hundred and has broken Sachin Tendulkar's massive record. Kohli completed his second consecutive hundred in the fifty-overs format and has now gone past Sachin Tendulkar in the list of scoring the most hundreds for India on home soil. Kohli now has 20 centuries to his name at home while Sachin sits at the second spot now with 19 tons.

Kohli reached the triple-figure mark off just 80 deliveries after getting his half-century in 47 balls. To reach his hundred, he played a cover drive for a single on the second ball of the 47th over. Soon after reaching the milestone, Kohli jumped in the air to celebrate.

Epic celebration

Alongside Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill also fired in the first innings. The openers had put 143 runs for the first wicket to take Team India to a good start. Later, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul also played their part top provide momentum in the Indian innings.

India set big total

With such a terrific batting performance, India posted a mammoth total of 373/7 in 50 overs after being sent to bat.
