On Day 1 after lunch, with Cheteshwar Pujara only on 12, he dropped Pujara in the second ball. The seasoned right-hander eventually reached 90, the highest total in India's opening innings. He also gave dropped Shreyas Iyer, who eventually scored 86. Hasan didn't make any mistakes on Day 2, but the way he handled Ravichandran Ashwin received criticism from the audience. Kuldeep Yadav, who scored 40 runs for the team, provided Ashwin with crucial help as they put up 92 runs for the eighth wicket. Bangladesh trails by 271 runs India's bowling performance was outstanding as opener Najmul Hossain Shanto of Bangladesh was bowled by Mohammed Siraj for a golden duck on the opening delivery of the game.
