FIFA World Cup Final: Messi inspires Argentina to lift trophy after 36 years, beat France in penalty shoot out

FIFA World Cup Final: It was one of the greatest football match ever played in FIFA World Cup history at the Lusail Stadium. Lionel Messi-led Argentina team has won the FIFA World Cup 2022 as they beat France in the penalty shoot out 4-2. Post-match, Messi got emotional in his final game which was not an easy one.

Messi's biggest dream come true

Earlier after the end of extra time and the full time Argentina and France goal scores stood at 3-3. Kylian Mbappe has done everything to bring France in the game everytime after Argentina took an upper hand. Mbappe's first two goals came after Argentina took a 2-0 lead early lead to bring them at a stronger position in the summit clash.

Mbappe's hat-trick in headlines

Mbappe scored an hat-trick in the final, two goals in the first 90 minutes and other one in the extra time. Messi too scored one goal in the extra time and one in first 90 minutes. Apart from Messi Angel di Maria also scored Argentina with his cleanest goal.

Gonzalo Montiel scored the winning penalty goal for Argentina to register his name in the history books.
