FIFA World Cup 2022: Football fans around the world are interested to know what the prize money would be for the winners, runners-up, and the teams reaching the semi-finals and quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final between two world champions, which is only 2 days away.

How much will the FIFA World Cup 2022 winner receive?

The winner of the FIFA World Cup final in 2022 will reportedly receive a stunning $42 million (Rs.347 crores) in prize money, while the runner-up would receive $30 million (Rs. 248 crore). The $72 million (Rs. 595 crores) prize money will therefore be treasured by the winners. At the same time, the third-place team will receive $27 million (Rs. 223 crore) and the fourth-place team will receive $25 million (Rs. 206 crore).

In addition, Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, and England will each receive $17 million (Rs. 140 crore) because they advanced to the quarterfinal. Each of the following teams—USA, Senegal, Australia, Poland, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, and South Korea—that advanced to the round of 16 will receive $13 million (Rs. 107 crore).

These teams to receive Rs. 74 crore each

Qatar, Ecuador, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Costa Rica, Serbia, Cameroon, Ghana, and Uruguay are among the nations that were unable to advance past the round of 16. For their efforts in the group stages, they will receive $9 million (Rs. 74 crores) each.

Battle royale to take place on 18th December

The FIFA World Cup trophy will be up for grabs when Argentina and France square off against one another on December 18. While France triumphed in 1998 and 2018, Argentina won the prized trophy in 1978 and 1986.
