Faf du Plessis to lead RCB in IPL 2022

Faf du Plessis will take over the captaincy duties from Virat Kohli in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

du Plessis was brought into the team by RCB during the auction in February at 7 crore. The South African veteran was earlier with Chennai Super Kings where he had few excellent seasons and also played huge part in team's victory last year.

The announcement was done in an offcial event by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru.
