Chris Silverwood, the head coach of the English cricket team expressed his desire to play in Pakistan. He said in a press release after the end of Day 1 that the English team got no issues traveling to Pakistan for a bilateral series.

Bangladesh was the last team to travel Pakistan in February this year when Pakistan defeated them in the first match of the series but the series was later on called off due to coronavirus crisis world-wide.

In 2009 Sri Lankan team faced a terrorist attack in Lahore when they toured Pakistan. Since then all the cricketing nations barred their teams to travel Pakistan. Pakistan gave their 100% in bringing cricket back in their country but they failed for the next seven years until Zimbabwe toured Pakistan in 2015.

"I think we are getting there. Personally, I would have no problem with that. I've never been to Pakistan so it would be nice to go and have a look," Silverwood said as quoted by Cricket Pakistan. "I know our batsmen would look forward to batting on their wickets. For me, it's great that it's back at top of the conversation" the former English paceman said.

Meanwhile, PCB CEO Wasim Khan demanded a favor back from England as they toured Pakistan in the coronavirus pandemic staking their lives and future.

"England are due to tour in 2022, and we'd love to have them coming over well before then a shorter tour", Wasim Khan told Sky Sports on Wednesday.

"It's something that we'll speak to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) about," he added.
