Cricket Viral Video: Mohammad Kaif's amazing sprinting catch provided the game's crucial turning point and helped India-edge over their adversaries in a high-scoring thriller. This game went down as one of the numerous India-Pakistan classics.

In 2004, after a peace accord made it possible for Indian cricketers to cross the border, all eyes were on the one-day matches that came before a test series that would ultimately be won by India. As rioting broke out in the city during the sale of tickets, there was considerable uncertainty as to whether the series opener in Karachi would ever take place. The atmosphere was explosive, and tensions were high.

Mohammed Kaif turned the tides for India

A full audience of 35,000 people crammed into the National Stadium to watch Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami accelerate to speeds of over 150kph after Pakistan won the toss and decided to play. Security ultimately granted the all-clear. However, when Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag led India to a score of 349-7, the harder it came back at Pakistan the faster their quicks sent it down. To win, Pakistan would need to score a run-record second inning.

With Inzamam-ul-Haq serving as their captain, the hosts were in a strong position at 278-3. Despite a wobble after his removal, Pakistan was in in command with 10 required off of eight deliveries and four wickets in hand. A stunning grab flipped the game on its head, and everything changed.

Shoaib Malik slammed a length ball on leg-stump that Zaheer Khan bowled high into the air as the din was deafening. Young Indian batsman Mohammed Kaif exploded out of the traps, racing 30 yards from long-off before jumping over teammate Hemang Badani and scooping up the ball with his torso parallel to the ground.

The stadium was enveloped in an eerie quiet. The Pakistani supporters felt the game had changed when their last recognised batsman left, and it turned out to be true as Ashish Nehra completed the game while allowing only three runs from the last over. Even after scoring more runs than any other second-batting team in ODI history, Pakistan still lost by five runs.
