The Pakistani opening duo of Saeed Anwar and Sohail got off to a blazing start, amassing 84 runs for the first wicket in a mere 10 overs. However, the momentum shifted when Anwar (48) was dismissed by Javagal Srinath in the eleventh over. Sohail's unexpected dismissal in the fifteenth over tilted the game in India's favour, creating a tense atmosphere.
