Chris Lynn to Cricket Australia: Can spend IPL money to get back home

Mumbai Indians batsman Chris Lynn has urged the Cricket Australia to bring all the Australian players home after the conclusion of 2021 season fo Indian Premier League.

"I texted back that as Cricket Australia makes 10 percent of every IPL contract, was there a chance we could spend that money this year on a charter flight once the tournament is over?" Lynn told News Corp media.

The Australian government had announced a ban on a direct flight from India both commercial and government repatriation services until 15th May.

PM Morrison also said that Australian in India who are the part of IPL teams will have to make their own arrangement to get back home and won't be prioritised.

"They have travelled there privately," Morrison is quoted as saying by The Guardian.

"This wasn't part of an Australian tour. They're under their own resources and they'll be using those resources too, I'm sure, to see them return to Australia in accordance with their own arrangements," he further said.
