Virat & Rohit in 7 crore club, Sanju Samson finally IN, KL Rahul demoted, details here Sachin Singh Mar 26, 2023 18:42 GMT BCCI: The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has announced a new list of player contracts. This list shows some significant changes compared to the previous season's list. Some players have been promoted to higher categories, which means they will receive better compensation and benefits from the BCCI. However, there are also some players who have been demoted or removed from the list of centrally contracted players. This means that players in the A+ category will receive the highest compensation and benefits from the BCCI, while those in the C category will receive less. Some of the best players on the Indian cricket team, such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja, have been placed in the top category, called Grade A+. This means that they will receive a payment of INR 7 Cr, which is the highest payment offered by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Other notable players like Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, and Rishabh Pant have been placed in the next category, which is called Grade A. They will receive a payment of INR 5 Cr. However, Sanju Samson has also received the annual contract after much speculation whereas Ajinkya Rahane and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been removed. Who are demoted? While some players have been promoted in the latest Indian cricket team payment structure, others have unfortunately been demoted. One of the most notable names to have been demoted is KL Rahul, who has been moved down to the B category due to his recent inconsistent performances. There are also some players who were part of the team for multiple tours but did not make it onto the BCCI central contract list. This includes players like Umran Malik and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who were not included despite being part of the national team.
