Punjab News : Punjab DGP Flags Off 14 New Vehicles for Ludhiana PCR; Focus on Public Safety and Community Engagement

Punjab News– The Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, during his visit to Ludhiana, flagged off 14 new vehicles that were added to the city’s Police Control Room (PCR) fleet, taking the total strength to 71. The vehicles were funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions, aimed at enhancing police presence and response time in the industrial city.

During the event, the DGP also interacted with industry representatives, seeking their views and suggestions for improving public safety measures. The key areas of focus outlined included additional manpower on the roads, increasing CCTV coverage in the Industrial Focal Point, and improving traffic management across the city.

Engagement with Students and Review of Policing at Kohara Naka

The DGP further emphasized the importance of community engagement by interacting with students at DAV Police Public School, highlighting the role of youth in contributing to public safety and fostering stronger community-police relationships.

En route to Ludhiana, the DGP made a stop at the Kohara Naka point, reviewing its operational effectiveness and holding discussions with the on-duty police personnel. This visit reaffirmed Punjab Police's commitment to bolstering safety measures, infrastructure development, and maintaining robust community partnerships.

The Punjab Police's efforts signal a strategic approach toward improving public safety, integrating technology, and ensuring active community participation in creating a safer Ludhiana.
