Exclusive: Safety First for Journalists! Foundation For Democratic Journalism Distributes Free Helmets in Noida

Helmet Road Safety: The Foundation For Democratic Journalism (FDJ) was founded with the intention of elevating Indian journalism to a national level. The NGO unequivocally advocates for the rights of journalists and journalism.

Free Helmets Distribution

In a free wheeling chat with DNP News Network Reporter, Project head of FDA, Utkarsh Sheoran, spoke at length about the free helmet distribution drive. Helmets were given to bike riders connected to journalism in Noida's Sector 16 on behalf of the Foundation For Democratic Journalism. This is a really admirable step that FDJ took. In addition, drivers received information on preventing traffic accidents so that there are fewer traffic accidents.

The traffic sub-inspector, Mr. Rajveer Singh, posted in Sector-16 distributed helmets to the drivers. He told the drivers that "your life is very valuable if you are careful and do not compete on the road, you will reach home safely. If you drive wearing a helmet, you will remain safe and your family will remain happy. Best wishes to you from the traffic police."

The Foundation of Democratic Journalism is an Indian nonprofit organisation that supports press freedom and offers assistance to news employees and their families. The NGO, which is registered under Section (8) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, possesses the Basic Fundamentals of any NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation).

The aim is to serve and benefit the journalists and people associated with the trade by acting in a way that is beneficial and addresses their suffering through short and long-term aims that are clearly outlined by the organisation.

How FDJ Works?

In addition to the harassment and difficulties they encounter on a daily basis, journalists who work as soldiers also risk illness, death, and threats. Today, the majority of them are either minimum wage employees or consultants who make very little money after benefits. FDJ supports these journalists so they can give their families better living conditions.
