Celebrity couple Virushka comes together to raise funds for Covid-19 relief

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli have come together to raise funds for COVID 19 relief.

The celebrity couple on Friday shared a video urging all to step up and donate for those in need. The two emphasised how it is important to fight this battle together and help one another.

Sharing the video, Anushka wrote, "As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief. We shall all overcome this crisis together. Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma have also donated Rs 2 crore to the fund-raising project, which will raise a total of Rs 7 crore to support the India's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The campaign will run for seven days on Ketto and the proceeds will be directed to ACT Grants, the implementation partner which will work towards providing oxygen, medical manpower, vaccination awareness and tele-medicine facilities all through the pandemic and the amount.
