Weather Update: The IMD has announced a rain alert for several regions across the country. There is a potential for significant to extremely heavy rainfall in the following regions: Sub-Himalaya West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur. Heavy rainfall is expected in East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are highly likely in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe.

Delhi

IMD has forecast that the national capital will continue to witness a partially cloudy sky, though some drizzle is on the cards during the morning. There will be isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 72%.

Mumbai

Mumbai and its suburbs will remain mostly engulfed in clouds. There are chances of showers happening in the region as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 84%.

Chennai

Chennai will begin the day with scattered thunderstorms in the morning. Later on, the city will remain mostly cloudy. Moderate rain will lash the region in the evening as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 79%.

Kolkata

Rainy spells along with thunderstorms will continue to drench Kolkata today as well. IMD has forecast that city will continue to witness such conditions for several upcoming days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 87%.
