Weather Update: Rain Alert! Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Across India; Mumbai and Kolkata Brace for More Showers

Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a forecast for active monsoon conditions in various parts of the state until September 14th. The weather forecast predicts heavy downpours in specific regions, including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam.

Furthermore, there is a likelihood of thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (ranging from 40-50 kmph), in isolated areas of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In addition, isolated regions in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam may experience thunderstorms and lightning.

Delhi

IMD has forecast a return of warm days in the national capital. The morning will experience a mostly sunny sky while some partial clouds will take on from the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 59%.

Mumbai

No significant change is likely for the city and its suburbs. Light showers will continue the entire day while the sky will remain partially cloudy in the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity at 82%.

Chennai

As per the latest weather update, Chennai will remain mostly cloudy today as well. Isolated showers will lash the region in periods. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 60%.

Kolkata

Thundershowers will keep on lashing Kolkata today as well. No relief is likely on the cards for the upcoming several days as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 80%.
