Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. According to the IMD's announcement on Sunday, these regions are expected to experience sporadic instances of substantial to extremely heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Favourable conditions are expected to lead to the gradual withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon from several regions. This includes the remaining areas of Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Uttar Pradesh, as well as some additional parts of West Madhya Pradesh, the remaining portions of Rajasthan, and certain areas of Gujarat state. This withdrawal process is anticipated to occur over the next 2-3 days.

Expect light to moderate rainfall that ranges from fairly widespread to widespread, along with occasional heavy downpours, in the hilly areas of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, and in Kerala. Similarly, anticipate light to moderate rainfall coupled with thunderstorms, lightning, and sporadic heavy rainfalls over East Madhya Pradesh, and over Chhattisgarh from 1st to 3rd. .

Delhi

No new change is anticipated in the national capital. Sunny conditions will continue in Delhi with no chances of cloudy sky or rain. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees with humidity at 44%.

Mumbai

Mumbai and its suburbs are forecast to remain cloudy the entire day. There are chances of drizzles and showers during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 86%.

Chennai

Sky will remain partially cloudy during the morning while the conditions will turn mostly cloudy after the afternoon. Low to moderate rainfall is also on the cards during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 78%.

Kolkata

IMD has predicted thundershowers for the entire day in Kolkata. There will be partial relief during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 91%.
