Weather Update: Heavy Rains to lash Sikkim Amidst Flash Flood, IMD issues alert for THESE states, Details

Weather Update: Amidst heavy flash floods in Sikkim, which has already taken so many lives, the IMD has predicted a heavy rain alert in the state. Moreover, isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Gangetic West Bengal. There's a possibility of heavy rain in certain areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim.

Widespread rains and thunderstorms are likely across various regions, including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand. Fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in Odisha and Bihar.

Isolated to scattered showers with a chance of lightning are predicted in East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep.

Delhi

As per the latest weather update, the national capital will continue to experience sunny conditions. However, there will be some relief from warmth during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees with humidity at 56%.

Mumbai

Mumbai and its suburbs will have partially cloudy conditions until the afternoon. However, from thereon, the sky will become clear. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees with humidity at 76%.

Chennai

Bringing in relief, IMD has forecast a mostly clear day for Chennai. However, there will be partial cloud cover during the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 68%.

Kolkata

Kolkata will experience scattered thunderstorms during early morning. The sky will remain mostly cloudy from thereon but will again experience thundershowers during late evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 89%.
