Weather Update: Flood Conditions in Many States Across India; Check What's in Store in Delhi, Lucknow and Dehradun

Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has said that this week's moderate rainfall is expected in the northern regions of India. The Department reports that the heavy rains in Gujarat caused serious waterlogging, which worsened the situation for the inhabitants and temporarily suspended regular life in various areas. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Mumbai's city and suburbs are expected to see heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. The predicted temperature range for Mumbai is 25°C at minimum and 28°C at maximum, with an average of 26°C. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there will be probably heavy rain today in the Delhi and NCR area.

As per the IMD predictions, there can be flood situations due to heavy rain in several states of the nation. It includes the parts of Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttarakhand, etc

The India Meteorological Department predicts some locations in the Maharashtra ghat areas will likely experience heavy to very heavy rainfall with very severe precipitation. According to the IMD, there could be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand including its capital city, Dehradun. However the same is predicted for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat and Karnataka. Additionally, heavy rainfall has been reported in several areas of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh (including Lucknow), according to the Meteorological Department.

These are the following predicted maximum temperature of the prominent cities.

IMD forecasted Chandigarh would get intense rain. It is expected that Chandigarh will see a minimum temperature of 27.92 °C and a maximum temperature of 38.42 °C on Saturday, July 27, 2024. However, water logging in low-lying areas has disrupted daily life as a result of five days of intense rain in Gujarat's coastal districts, which include Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar and Porbandar.
