Indian Army finds a sizable cache of weapons, ammunition, and other military supplies in the Uri area of J&K's Baramulla

An enormous amount of weapons, ammunition, and "war-like stores," such as AK-74 rifles, hand grenades with Pakistani origins, and balloons bearing the slogan "I Love Pakistan," were found along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri Sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, an Indian Army officer reported on Friday. As the number of ultras, weapons, and ammunition were at an all-time low in the Valley, the seizures were made at a time when Pakistan was desperate to either infiltrate terrorists or transport war-like supplies into Kashmir, he said.

According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, education delivered to a student in his home tongue as part of the new National Education Policy (NEP) will improve his capacity for thought, reasoning, analysis, and research. Speaking to a crowd at the 95th anniversary of Sheth G. C. High School in Vijapur, Shah said that efforts were being made to translate the technical, medical, and higher education course syllabi into regional languages. He also added that the NEP would elevate India to the top spot in the world within the next 25 years.

Many, even inside the government, were skeptical about the stadium's timely completion when Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik lay the foundation stone for it on February 16, 2021, in the midst of a pandemic. The stadium will serve as a second location for the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup. The International Hockey Federation had to give the state till November 30 to complete the main construction and instal the turf because there was so much to do. Since then, more than 1,200 migrant workers, many of them from Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, have worked nonstop in three shifts to construct the stadium. And less than three weeks before the first game, the massive metal structure in the shape of a saucer looms tall over 16 acres of ground and has a seating capacity of about 21,000. The new stadium, which will be named after liberation warrior and tribal hero Birsa Munda, can accommodate a total of 20 matches.
