NATION Terrifying Revenge! Indian Student Endures Unimaginable Torture, Buried Alive by Ex-Boyfriend in Australia Sparsh Goel Jul 06, 2023 12:56 GMT Australia: A court heard on Wednesday that an Indian nursing student in Australia who had broken up with her ex-boyfriend was abducted and buried alive in March 2021 as payback. Tarikjot Singh "made to suffer" Jasmeen Kaur of Adelaide. In court on Wednesday, Singh admitted to killing her. According to a story from news.com.au, Singh abducted Kaur, age 21, from her place of employment on March 5, 2021. Kaur was restrained by cable ties in the boot of a car that Singh had borrowed from a friend for more than 650 kilometres. Prosecution Describes Unimaginable Horror During Supreme Court submissions regarding sentencing, graphic facts of the incident came to light. Carmen Matteo, the prosecutor, claimed that Kaur experienced "absolute terror" and that the murder was "not efficient." “She had to have been consciously suffering what could only be described as the absolute terror of breathing in and swallowing soil and dying in that way,” news agency PTI quoted Matteo as saying. She was conscious of her surroundings when she passed away on March 6, according to Matteo. Matteo remarked that "the manner in which Kaur was killed really involved an uncommon level of cruelty." Other than the prosecution's assertion that the grave had to have been dug while the defendant was still alive and in preparation for her burial, she continued, "It is not known when her throat was cut, when or how she got into or was placed into that burial grave, and it is not known when that was dug." "(It was) a killing that was committed as an act of vengeance or as an act of revenge," she claimed. Jasmeen Kaur's Ex-Boyfriend Fixated and Rejected 'a Hundred Times' According to ABC News, prosecutors told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that Jasmeen Kaur was killed a month after she reported Tarikjot Singh to the police for stalking her. The sentencing submissions were also heard in the presence of Jasmeen Kaur's mother. She claimed Tarikjot was fixated with her daughter, who turned him down "a hundred times," according to reports. Prior to Kaur's passing, Tarikjot wrote many notes to her that he never got around to mailing. One letter said, "Your bad luck that I'm still alive, cheap, wait and watch, will get the answer, everyone will get the answer." Tarikjot was unable to move past the collapse of their love, so he planned the murder. Tarikjot Singh Admits to Murdering Jasmeen Kaur, Leads Police to Burial Site Tarikjot refuted the charges during the original investigation into Jasmeen Kaur's death. He later buried her body after initially claiming that she had committed suicide. Singh, though, entered a guilty plea earlier this year before going on trial. He even led the police to Kaur's grave, where they discovered her shoes, spectacles, and name badge in a bin with some looped wire ties. Security footage from a hardware store on the afternoon of the kidnapping showed Tarikjot purchasing gloves, cable ties, and a shovel, according to a report from ABC News. Tarikjot Singh will have to serve a life sentence. His attorney called it a "crime of passion" and pleaded for a lenient punishment to be given to him. Keep watching our YouTube Channel ‘DNP INDIA’.
