Shradh 2023: Pitru Paksha, also known as Shradh or Mahalaya Paksha, holds great significance in Hinduism as a period dedicated to honouring and paying homage to ancestors, known as Pitrus. As per Drik Panchang, Pitru Paksha for this year commences on September 29 with Bhadrapada Shukla Purnima and continues until October 14, concluding on Ashwina Krishna Amavasya.

Reports suggest that the auspicious time for performing Shradh karma during Pitru Paksha will be as follows:

• Kutup Muhurta: From 11:47 am to 12:35 pm
• Rohin Muhurta: From 12:35 pm to 01:23 pm

Pitru Paksha, a significant period in Hindu culture, holds immense importance for several compelling reasons.
