He questioned the relevance of discussing the Babri Masjid dispute, saying, "When you bring back ghosts or raise the dead, they turn into ghosts and haunt justice. Now, where is it? Do you still see the Babri Masjid and temple? Forget it. These *** keep saying such things; should I take notice of them?"

Facing widespread criticism, Yadav quickly retracted his comments, claiming that no one had asked him about the CJI.
