 Rahul Gandhi to commence second phase of Bharat Jodo Yatra from September: Reports

Congress leader and disqualified Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi is set to embark on season 2 of his Bharat Jodo Yatra. The second phase of Gandhi’s mass movement comes with just eight months left for the Assembly Elections 2024. According to several media reports, the second phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to commence in the month of September.

Rahul Gandhi's revolutionary 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' can be touted as one of the most significant accounts of his political career. During his Bharat Jodo Yatra, the prominent Congress leader covered a journey of 4,080 kilometres (2,540 miles) over almost 150 days. Now, the latest reports suggest that the Congress leader is set to undertake the second phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra ahead of Assembly Elections 2024.

According to an ABP Live report, the Yatra is set to commence in the month of September.

Rahul Gandhi at an event in San Fransisco in May, shortly after wrapping up his Bharat Jodo Yatra’ said the Centre was against his march and tried to the best of their abilities to stop it. 

"The government used all its strength to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The BJP is threatening people and misusing government agencies. But nothing worked and the impact of the Yatra increased. This happened because the idea of 'Join India' is in everyone's heart," Mr Gandhi said. "The Bharat Jodo Yatra started because all the instruments that we needed to connect with the people were controlled by the BJP-RSS."
