Pakistani Actress Sehar Shinwari Accuses India of Fomenting Terrorism in Pakistan, Delhi Police Mocks in a funny way

PM Modi: Actress Sehar Shinwari has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of causing turmoil amid the political unrest in Pakistan. Shinwari posted a complaint on Twitter, tagging Delhi Police, accusing Prime Minister Modi and the Indian intelligence service RAW of fomenting terrorism in Pakistan. She also expressed hope that the Indian Supreme Court will uphold her rights.

Delhi Police responded in a funny way

Delhi Police responded by making fun of Sehar Shinwari. In a letter, the Delhi Police stated that Pakistan was remained outside of their purview. They further questioned her about how she managed to write a tweet in light of Pakistan's internet blackout.

Delhi police tweeted, "We are afraid we still do not have jurisdiction in Pakistan. But, would like to know how come you are tweeting when the internet has been shut down in your country!" Notably, mobile broadband services have been suspended nationwide since yesterday in Pakistan due to unrest that erupted following the detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and the widespread sharing of videos of violent rallies on social media.

Following Imran Khan's detention, PTI activists protested in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Karachi, Quetta, Mardan, Bannu, and Chilas, among other Pakistani cities. According to numerous accounts in Pakistani media, protesters broke into the Lahore and Rawalpindi homes of army generals. Several videos that have surfaced on social media sites show groups of men approaching the gated General Headquarters (GHQ) property with sticks, which they subsequently are shown using to hit the walls. Some of the guys have their faces covered.

PTI asked its followers in Pakistan to protest and block all roads

Amnesty International, a human rights organisation, has meanwhile urged the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to reinstate internet connection for Pakistanis as well as access to Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Rangers detained Imran Khan on Tuesday while he was leaving the Islamabad High Court (IHC) grounds in relation to a warrant issued by the National Accountability Bureau in the Al-Qadir Trust case. The PTI asked its followers in Pakistan to protest and "block all roads, close all shops" after his arrest. As of Tuesday, the Islamabad High Court deemed Imran Khan's arrest to be "legal," according to reports.
