 Opposition alliance INDIA to move no-confidence motion against govt in Lok Sabha 

I.N.D.I.A — the mega-opposition alliance consisting of 26 parties — have projected to move a no-confidence motion against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre in the Parliament session on Wednesday. The move comes amid demands that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should make a statement on the Manipur situation in the Lok Sabha. The BJP has agreed to discuss the Manipur situation in the Lok Sabha but insisted that Home Minister Amit Shah will address the issue.

Congress on moving the no-confidence motion 

Leaders of the Opposition alliance INDIA have unanimously decided to move a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha. “All parties are on board with the decision,” said sources.

Congress Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhry said the notice is already at the party office and is expected to reach Lok Sabha Secretary General's office before 10 am. 

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge blasts BJP 

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took to Twitter and said INDIA demands answers from the Centre on Manipur violence. "83 days of unabated violence in Manipur requires the Prime Minister to make a comprehensive statement in the Parliament. Stories of absolute horror are now slowly trickling down," part of his tweet read.

The Alliance party leaders met in Kharge’s chamber on Tuesday where they also decided to press charges for revoking the suspension of AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
