NATION Odisha train accident: Several trains cancelled, diverted; Here's the list Madhulika Singh Jun 03, 2023 05:16 GMT Odisha train accident: A devastating triple train crash in Odisha's Balasore district on Friday evening killed at least 238 people and over 900 injured. As a result of the crash, several long-distance trains were cancelled or diverted. Authorities have urged passengers to check the status of their train before travelling by visiting the Indian Railways website or by calling the Indian Railways helpline number. As the Coromandel Express derailed, its 10 to 12 coaches fell onto the opposite track. Subsequently, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express collided with the derailed coaches, leading to the derailment of three to four of its own coaches.The collision involved the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train.
