Delhi Police has also detained some protesters. Delhi Police is trying to control the situation. The protesters were later taken into custody by the Delhi Police Notably, JP Nadda on Friday hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for saying in London that "Indian democracy is under attack". Addressing a lecture at the University of Cambridge in London recently, Gandhi had said, "Everyone knows and it is very much in the news that Indian democracy is under pressure and under attack. I am the leader of the opposition in India". Nadda said that democracy is not in danger but Congress is in danger.Addressing a public meeting in Chitradurga district of poll-bound Karnataka, Nadda said, "The actions of the Congress and Rahul Gandhi are highly condemnable. The Congress only knows how to divide people. It is not a democracy, but your party." He further said that Rahul raised questions abroad because people here in the country have 'ignored' his party. "Since everyone in India is ignoring the Congress, Rahul Gandhi went abroad and questioned our democracy," he said. Nadda said, "Rahul Gandhi is speaking against India abroad. He should remember that his grandmother Indira Gandhi had brought Emergency." Nadda said, "The Congress has been criticizing India's digitization, claiming that it is not possible in India. However, 40 percent of digital transactions in the world are taking place in India today. Congress promoted the politics of corruption, commission, criminalization and dynastic rule." He said, "The politics that Congress created was of corruption, commission, criminalization and dynastic rule. But PM Modi started a 'report card' politics where what is said comes true. He has done a responsible job." And formed a strong government. He accused the Wayanad MP of "insulting" India abroad while the whole world is praising the country. "The language of the Congress has become so bad that they say 'Modi teri kabar khudegi' but people say 'Modi tera kamal khilega'. When the whole world is praising India and saying that its economy is growing, Rahul Gandhi is insulting our country abroad," BJP chief JP Nadda said.
