 NIA files charge sheet against 3 LTTE supporters in Tamil Nadu

Three persons have been charged by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) who conspired and associated themselves with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a banned organisation, and founding a group called the "World Tamil Justice Court" in connection with the sezuier of arms and ammunition in the Omalur area of Tamil Nadu's Salem district (WTJC)

Two country-made pistols, ammunition, and gunpowder were found on the two accused during a vehicle checkup close to the Puliyampatti division, which is the case's main focus.

In a statement, the NIA said that the two accused were motivated by the LTTE and desired to create a group with similar goals to the LTTE in order to engage in military resistance to the government.

On May 19 the case was registered at Omalur Police Station of Salem district after that National Investigation Agency Re-registered the case.

Naveen alias Naveen Chakaravarthy M, Sanjay Prakash J and A Kabilar alias Kabilan are among other those named in the charge sheet.
