Lok Sabha Election 2024: The third round of the Lok Sabha elections is begin on Tuesday in 92 constituencies spread across 11 states and Union Territories. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is focused on holding onto its majority in the previous election, particularly in Gujarat, Karnataka, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. Among the first voters were prominent politicians such as Congressman Mallikarjun Kharge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Sharad Pawar, Akhilesh Yadav, Ajit Pawar, and Pralhad Joshi.

Highlighting the 120 Female Candidates

There are more than 1,300 candidates running in this phase of the election, with about 120 of them being women. This makes for an exciting contest. Former chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Digvijaya Singh are among the prominent candidates, along with Union ministers Amit Shah, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Mansukh Mandaviya.

Mallikarjun Kharge's Optimism

Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, commented on the third round of the Lok Sabha elections. He said, " All the businessmen and the poor people will together make Congress win this time. People are regretting that they made a mistake last time and they will elect Congress party with a huge majority..."

BJP Candidate Urges Agra Residents to Vote

Voter turnout is lowest in Maharashtra until 9:30 AM, with Bengal leading at 15%. SP Singh Baghel, an Agra-born Union Minister and BJP candidate, cast his ballot in Agra, Uttar Pradesh."I want to request the people of Agra (UP) to go to polling booths and cast their vote to select their desired candidate," he said.  In bastion Saifai, Akhilesh Yadav, the chief of the Samajwadi Party, and his spouse, a Mainpuri-born party candidate, cast their ballots.

SP Singh Baghel, a union minister and BJP candidate from Agra, cast his ballot in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. "I want to request the people of Agra (UP) to go to polling booths and cast their vote to select their desired candidate," he said. 

Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of the Congress party, voted at a polling place in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. In this seat, the grand old party has put up Radhakrishna to challenge Umesh G. Jadhav of the BJP.

Supriya Sule said after casting her vote: "In a strong democracy, the Constitution should be kept at the centre and third phase of voting is taking place, it should be done peacefully."
