NATION Haryana: Gurugram club owner, woman found dead, cops suspect angithi smoke suffocation Rafia Tasleem Dec 21, 2022 02:10 GMT Haryana: On Monday, the owner of a nightclub and a woman were discovered dead, while two others were found unconscious in a cabin at a nightclub in Gurugram's DLF Phase-3. Police believe the deaths were caused by asphyxiation from angithi smoke. Sanjeev Joshi, a Hisar resident and the club owner's brother, has been identified as the suspect.He was with three women in the cabin. According to police, one of them died and the other two were found unconscious. The other two women were taken to a private hospital in critical condition. According to officials, The incident happened in Cyber City of DLF Phase-3 police station of Gurugram where a club owner and a woman were found dead under mysterious circumstances. Last night, club owner Sanjeev Joshi came to the club for his birthday celebration with his friends. They ordered food at night and later on, their bodies were found. According to police, the cabin, where they had gathered to celebrate one of the women's birthdays around 2 a.m. on Monday, had no ventilation. According to cops, an angithi, a type of stove, was lit due to the cold. The incident was brought to light on Monday morning when the cleaning staff went to the cabin and noticed that it was filled with smoke. All of the victims were rushed to a private hospital, where Sanjeev Joshi and the woman were pronounced dead. The other two women are receiving medical attention. "Prima facie, it seems to be a case of death due to suffocation. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem and a further probe is underway," Virender Vij, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), told PTI. He stated that a forensic team had visited the site.
