Dilip Ghosh wants Bhabanipur bypoll to be postponed

West Bengal BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has demanded for the postponement of Bhabanipur bypoll. The BJP has raised Priyanka Tibrewal against Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee in the September 30 bye-election.

"Then I entered a vaccination centre. They gheraoed me. That attacked me. Started beating up our workers," he said, adding that the same happened with BJP MP Arjun Singh," Ghosh said.

"My life was at stake. That is why they took such steps. EC should have taken adequate steps on security measures but we cannot see that."

"It's happening daily. We have already contacted the police but they did not help us. Even one policeman in civilian clothes, who tried to save us, has been beaten," Dilip Ghosh told reporters.
