NATION Delhi Car Dragged: AAP stages protest demonstration outside LG's house Rafia Tasleem Jan 02, 2023 09:45 GMT Delhi Car Dragged: Just as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote to the Lieutenant Governor demanding "strictest action," including the death penalty, for the five occupants of a car that hit and killed a 20-year-old woman in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party workers staged a protest demonstration outside the LG's residence, calling for his resignation. "Spoke to Hon'ble LG on Kanjhawala incident. Requested him to take exemplary action against culprits, strictest sections of IPC shud be slapped against them. No leniency shud be showed even if they have high political connections. He assured that he will take strong action," he tweeted about it. Locals have also blocked the road near the accident site and crowded to the police station, demanding immediate action. Mr Kejriwal and his party have claimed that watered-down charges have been filed in the case, which the police deny, claiming that charges will be added following an autopsy report.
