Delhi: After losing the election for the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD), Adesh Gupta, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi, resigned from his position. According to reports citing party sources, JP Nadda, the party president, has accepted his resignation.

Virendra Sachdeva named as the working President until the next appointment

The working president has now been named as Virendra Sachdeva. Up until the appointment of the new Delhi BJP President, Sachdeva would manage the duties.
Elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were won by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In the 250-ward MCD, 134 seats went to Arvind Kejriwal's party. The Congress finished in a distant third place with just nine seats, while the BJP won 104. Others received 3.

"One of the most difficult elections," Kejriwal

Speaking to his council members on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal declared that "this was one of the most difficult elections." "Seven chief ministers, 17 union ministers, JP Nadda sahab, Amit Shah ji, and all of them were present," In addition, the media worked against us.
