NATION Delhi: Ashram flyover Delhi to be closed from Jan 1, affecting traffic: Police Rafia Tasleem Dec 31, 2022 10:33 GMT Delhi: Due to the development of a connecting road between the Ashram Flyover and New Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyover, both carriageways of the Ashram Flyover Road will be blocked as of January 1, 2023. The Ashram Flyover will be closed for 45 days, according to a statement from the Delhi Police on Friday, which is anticipated to have an impact on traffic flow. Both lanes of the ring road on the bottom of the flyover will be open during this time, according to the traffic police. The building of a connecting road between the Ashram flyover and the new DND flyover will cause both of the flyover's carriageways to be closed beginning on January 1, according to a statement from the traffic police.The Ashram flyover, both side carriageways running via Ashram Chowk, DND flyover, and Mathura Road may all experience traffic restrictions and diversionary measures, according to the statement. The Traffic Police also advised people to take detours. It said that commuters travelling from the Badarpur side should take Captain Gaur Marg for Lajpat Nagar and AIIMS, while those coming from the Badarpur, Sarita Vihar, and Jamia sides should take Mata Mandir Marg for Ring Road and Sarai Kale Khan. "Commuters heading to Noida from Chirag Delhi and the IT side are recommended to take the Ring Road. The notification urged commuters travelling from Akshardham and Noida to take Sarai Kale Khan, Bhairon Road, and Mathura Road to reach AIMS and Dhaula Kuan.It has been suggested that commuters from the AIIMS and New Delhi side take Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg for Ring Road, and Mathura Road.
