"Chacha Chaudhary aur Chunavi Dangal" ECI takes ingenious approach to make children aware on Elections | Details

ECI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a novel approach to foster awareness about elections among children, using popular Indian comic characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Raaka, Dhamaka Singh, Billoo, and others. The ECI, via its X platform, has shared glimpses of these comics, each conveying messages designed to help children grasp the importance of participating in the electoral process.

ECI's new approach

Taking to X, ECI wrote, "Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Raaka,Dhamaka Singh, Billoo & other comic characters will now create awareness amongst children about elections. In an unique initiative, the comic book, "Chacha Chaudhary aur Chunavi Dangal", published by Pran Comics, was released by the Commission today."

In one another post, ECI wrote, ""Chacha Chaudhary ka dimag computer se tez chalta hai", and his formidable intellect will now be harnessed by SVEEP division of ECI".  The acronym SVEEP represents the "Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Program," which serves as the flagship initiative of the Election Commission of India. This program is dedicated to voter education, the dissemination of voter awareness, and the advancement of voter literacy throughout India.

The ECI has also indicated that they will be distributing 30,000 complimentary copies, and digital access will be provided for hundreds of thousands of children. According to the statement, the comic features 10 brief stories that address various electoral topics.
