NATION Assam: Student leaps from hostel building, CM issues an appeal "Say no to ragging" Rafia Tasleem Nov 28, 2022 09:27 GMT Assam: A student from the Dibrugarh University in Assam was hurt on Sunday after he allegedly felt harassed and leapt from the hostel building. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister, acknowledged the tragedy and stated that measures were being made to apprehend those responsible. The Chief Minister tweeted, "A student of the Dibrugarh University in Assam jumped from the second floor of the university's hostel building due to ragging. The incident occurred on Sunday after the student was fed up with ragging by his seniors for the past few days. The student has been admitted to a private hospital where his treatment is underway." (sic)." The student is receiving treatment at a private hospital after being admitted there. According to reports, he leaped from the second storey of the hostel structure.
