NATION Assam Flood|Center releases Rs 346 crore in battling the situation Jyoti B Jul 23, 2020 02:13 GMT The flood situation in Assam continued to remain serious on Wednesday with over 26 lakh people across the state still affected. To help Assam in battling the flood situation, the central government will release Rs 346 crores, in the first phase, under the Flood Management Program (FMP) scheme. The central government will release the first installment of Rs 346 crore soon under the "Flood Management programme", a statement from the Chief Minister's office said. Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat held a video conference with Sonowal and took stock of the flood situation in the state.
