NATION Arunachal Clash: Rajnath Singh calls for high-level meeting post India-China spat at LAC Rafia Tasleem Dec 13, 2022 09:03 GMT Arunachal Clash: Following a standoff between Indian and Chinese forces at Tawang at the Arunachal Pradesh Line of Actual Control, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called for a high-level conference. The meeting would be held with the Army Chief General Manoj Pandey and the Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, according to sources. Senior commanders of the Air Force and Navy will also be there. According to sources, at least six soldiers who had been hurt in the Tawang sector fight were sent to Guwahati for medical attention. On December 9, Indian and Chinese soldiers engaged in combat close to the LAC in the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh. According to ANI, soldiers from both sides of the conflict suffered minor wounds. The news comes as China and India are negotiating to end a new stalemate in eastern Ladakh. The Chinese PLA soldiers were faced courageously by the Indian soldiers. According to accounts, injuries on the Chinese side were "far higher than on the Indian side." Number of Chinese soldiers injured is more than that of Indian soldiers. The Chinese had come heavily prepared with around 300 soldiers but didn't expect Indian side also to be well prepared."
