However, Vastu brings in other principles that have been followed since ancient times. Therefore, for bringing positivity to your house, there are a few do's and don'ts that must be followed to get the best results.

Vastu tips to bring positivity into the house

  • The entrance of the house should be decorated well. To add to that, it should be well-lit, inviting positive energies. However, animal statues and water fountains should not be placed at the entrance at any cost. Instead of that, a buddha statue is advised to be placed at the entrance as it can help ward away negative energies.
  • The living room should be rid of any form of clutter or mess. Moreover, the walls should be painted in light colours like white, beige and light pink. These colours bring calmness. Moreover, indoor plants such as cactus or any other prickly plants can bring negative energies like fights and differences.
  • In the bedroom, the bed should be placed in a south-west direction, promoting sleep and good energy. Moreover, a mirror should not be placed in front of the bed. This could create confusion and differences. The lighting of the room should be mild and in a warm tone.
  • In the Kitchen, the appliances should be facing the southwest direction. This brings positive solar energy into the house. Moreover, the colours for the kitchen should be Yellow, brown and pink.
  • Bathrooms should have proper ventilation with either a proper window or a small window. Moreover, the colours of the bathroom should be light colours or pastel colours.
