Vastu Tips: As the festive season is coming closer, people are excited for the different festivals that are going to come, starting from Navratri. The upcoming festivals include Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. This calls for a lot of shopping, cleaning and setting.

As Navratri comes closer, people start to clean their homes. This is because, during this season, Laxmi is the goddess of wealth and fortune. Moreover, this calls for decorating the house with festive ornaments that include a rangoli. While rangolis are considered very auspicious on the day of Diwali, it is also important to pay attention to the correct way of placing the rangoli.

Colour

While making a rangoli in the house, it is important to keep in mind the correct colours for the rangoli. It should always have bright colours such as red, yellow, orange and green. These colours indicate joy and happiness that bring positivity to life. On top of that, it is aesthetic to look at as well.

Shape

Several shapes can be chosen for a rangoli. If you make wavy designs in the rangoli, it will bring personal growth, clarity and good opportunities in life. To make a financial profit in life, use round shapes. Rectangular shape brings good social experiences and triangles bring security and confidence. Moreover, the lotus shape brings harmony and peace.

Direction

The rangoli should be on the north, northeast or centre part of the house. These areas are considered auspicious for good energy to flow freely in the house.
