Vastu Shastra has prescribed a set of rules to adhere to in terms of the layout of your space to invoke positive energies into your life. These prescribed rules are to bring balance to the elements, air, water, fire, and earth. Moreover, there are specific rules for your sleeping pattern, direction and surroundings. To ensure good energy, here are a few rules to adhere to, according to Vastu.

Bed position

According to Vastu Shastra, the head of the bed should be in the south or east direction of your bedroom. Moreover, the bed should not be joined to the wall, which is considered inauspicious.

Sleeping position

According to the Hindu tradition, when a person dies, their dead body is put with the head facing towards the north. Therefore, while sleeping, the head should face southwards. Sleeping with your head towards the north direction is considered inauspicious

Sleeping towards east

Sleeping towards the east is considered good as it is where the sun rises in the morning. This will help with your concentration and memory as it induces sharpness in the brain

Sleeping towards west

Sleeping towards the west is also considered auspicious in terms of money and success. This will bring success to your business and you will drown in wealth.

Couples

Couples can sleep towards the south, west or east. However, the north should be avoided at all costs. This will bring positivity and light and to the relationship with prosperity

Children

For kids, the east or south direction is considered the best for their proper upbringing and growth. This will help them with studies and achieving goals. Moroever, this wil help them perform better in school and exams.
