But we have come up with something that can help you in reducing fatigue and get peaceful mental health. Well, now is the time to add pumpkin seeds to your diet to fight fatigue and get the much-needed energy you need to stay active throughout the day. Packed with nutrients like magnesium, zinc and protein, these little green seeds can help in ending fatigue. Dr Uma Naidoo, a nutritional psychiatrist at Harvard University, shared on Instagram why she recommends pumpkin seeds to keep energy levels up. “When I see a patient who reports feeling tired on a regular basis, one of my favourite food recommendations is pumpkin seeds. High in magnesium, zinc and protein, these little powerhouses are packed with nutrients that can help boost your energy levels,” she wrote. She added that "Magnesium (which is in pumpkin seeds) reduces inflammation and relaxes the nervous system. For example, when you exercise, lactate builds up in the blood, which causes tired and sore limbs. However, magnesium can prevent this lactate from building up and helps relieve fatigue." Health benefits of pumpkin seeds Pumpkin seeds are a nutritious food packed with many essential nutrients, healthy fats and beneficial compounds.
