Nayanthara: Let’s have a look at Nayanthara's amazing journey in her personal and professional life, which has been a roller coaster ride on the special occasion of her birthday.

Nayanthara made her debut in the Kollywood with the movie Ayya costarring Sarathkumar. The movie went on to become a commercial success. She entered Kollywood with great fanfare. Nayanthara had three Malayalam movies under her belt when she entered the Tamil film industry, two of which she co-starred in with Mohanlal.

She eventually rose to the status of the ideal commercial heroine and won the love of both the public and the media. She was able to build out a special identity for herself in the industry thanks to films like Ayya, the Chandramukhi with Rajinikanth and AR Murugadoss' Ghajini in which she played a supporting female role.
She was eventually termed as the “Lady Superstar.”

Nayanthara, who went by the name Diana Mariam Kurian, was one of the top students in her class and a brilliant student. While still in her first year of college, she began hosting a television programme. She was successful at balancing her career and education.

Nayanthara's debut in 2003

Malayalam filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad took noticed her in an advertisement in the year 2003. She had only turned 19 at the time. She was chosen as the lead in the movie Manassinakkare. In the beginning, she declined the offer, but in the end, she said "just that one picture," and accepted. A huge success at the box office was Manassinakkare. She was placed with notable actors like Venkatesh Daggubati and others in Telugu movies as news of her performing abilities spread there. In comparison to most of her rivals, her movies had larger opening weekends.

It's interesting that she has appeared in films with a broad appeal where the female’s role was less important.

Ups and downs in Nayanthara's career

Her career has seen more ups and downs than many. She has always recovered from setbacks, perhaps better than most of other in the industry. The actress from Chandramukhi experienced her fair share of setbacks, both professionally and personally. Her professional life was severely damaged by that. In 2011, she made the decision to stop working.

She chose to avoid being in the spotlight, and she hasn't appeared in any of her own films promotional events or given interviews to the media as of yet. She doesn't go to many social events or parties. But even outside of Tamil Nadu, she continues to enjoy popularity.

In 2013, she returned with Atlee's Raja Rani and reclaimed her star status in Kollywood. Nayanthara received a well-written role despite a three-year break. She proceeded to star in movies like Arrambam (2013) with Ajith Kumar, Anaamika (2014) with a focus on women, and an adaptation of the Hindi movie Kahaani (2012). The 2015 horror movie Maya was her subsequent female-focused role.

She took the opportunity to obtain the highly desirable early morning premiere shows, a privilege that is only granted to male stars.

Her career changed when she saw Vignesh Shivan's 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. She also met her future husband, Vignesh Shivan, who she first met thanks to the movie, which was also directed by him.

Nayanthara proved she is more than simply a "Lady Superstar" by making it to the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list in 2018, making a comeback with smash singles after experiencing emotional crisis, and living her life on her own.

Nayanthara's upcoming films include the Tamil film Connect, the Malayalam feature Gold with Prithviraj Sukumaran, and the eagerly awaited Bollywood blockbuster Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan.

Nayanthara, who got married to the filmmaker Vignesh Shivanin 2022, is now a surrogate mother to two sons born as twins.
